Warm or cold, earthy or ethereal- each element is associated with a fundamental colour, with structures the palette of this new collection with its pure and bold lines.
- The roots of my inspiration is natural things, and my goal is to bring life to people. If there is good energy in the things I create- people will like it, says Pierre Favresse to Envelope.no.
Behind every product is a design, and behind every design, a person. Pierre always search for a balance between exacting standards, elegance and intelligent use of shapes and objects.
This season Habitat introduces us to a few great guest designers- all of them handpicked by the Head of Design, Pierre Favresse. Among them- Tina Frey, Noè Duchaufour-Lawrance and Eugeni Quitllet- and tree new talents- winner of the it-design competition- Abdelkarim Antar, Thibault Pougeoise and Julie Figuero Zafiro.
The Coast collection in porcelain by Tina Frey is inspired by her surroundings in San Francisco.
- The shades of water, the sound of the waves, the sky and the sand inspire natural colours and soft shapes with no rough edges, Frey says.
The Catalan designer Eugeni, has designes a timeless Stone chair, made from a single piece of polypropylene and Noè Duchaufour-Lawrance has created a wooden chair in solid ash with pure lines.
Pierre Favresse admits he has been inspired by Scandianvian minimalism for the collection, and after his visit to Oslo last season, he would love to come back.
- The Scandinavian trend is all about lifestyle. You want it simple and clean, and are more innovative and functional when it somes to interior architecture, and this is a trend that spreading all over the world right now.
